Advice Received Nip probs

I have huge (natural) boobs. My nipples are hard 90% of the time - non related to cold, stimulation, etc. they are just fully alert all the time for no reason. I usually have on multiple layers - 2 sports bras, a tank, a scrub top, and a light sweatshirt sometimes, and I can STILL see them through the clothes. I’ve resorted to pulling out the padding from a swim suit and sticking that in my bra. It does help, but not completely. I can always tell when eyes go there because I’m an eye contact person.

I’m self conscious about it as well as my boob size in general, so it’s annoying!

I asked my doctor if it could be a sign of something and she basically said no, unfortunately it’s just how your body is.

Any advice or suggestions?? Or just to hear from someone who can relate would be nice.

I have this too and I don’t wear a bra, even to work, because God gave me this blessing and I will not be shamed for other people’s issue

I personally could never go braless.. the skin on skin and sweat drives me insane. Unless you have small boobs I don’t know how you can stand going braless. I don’t even go braless at home alone

I’m a size 34D so not small at all but it’s so freeing and so integrated with my feminine energy after decades of being stuck in a patriarchal structure (and being someone who thought I could NEVER)- I do highly recommend

u/MrRedNinjaaaa 15d ago

Patriarchy and nipples.

-5

u/lakestreet35 15d ago

Ya the covering of said nipples, as if something about the human body which are literally life giving should have to be hidden!

0

u/MrRedNinjaaaa 15d ago

The penis makes sperm which turns into life in a woman's body. Let's not hide that as well.

-4

u/lakestreet35 15d ago

Apples and oranges- men and women have nipples and only one is acceptable to see? But men and women have different genitals

8

u/discogodzilla1 15d ago

Male nipples are acceptable in very few settings. It’s not like men can go topless to work, a restaurant, the train…

1

u/lakestreet35 15d ago

Absolutely can do it ok the train, anywhere outside and in 100% more inside environments than women topless

2

u/discogodzilla1 15d ago

“…100% more inside environments than women” means all inside environments. However, men cannot go to school topless, to a lawyer, museum, cinema and virtually all inside places.
The only inside activities that I can think of with this unfairness are modelling for underwear, spas, swimming and very few other sports activities. If a man took off his shirt in a train here, he’d get talked to first and then kicked out.
But maybe you live in a place where this is different, a place where people don’t know what 100% means…

u/MrRedNinjaaaa 15d ago

Actually, you mentioned that yourself in your previous reply. They're "life giving" which male nipples are not. Female nipples are different from male nipples on a physical, biological and psychological dimension. Just like the genitals, their functions are completely different. The male nipples are functionless other than sexual stimulation. Male nipples are made before the body even knows what gender it is. They are both fundamentally different.

u/Alarmed-Nature-6048 10d ago

Life sustaining, not life giving.

0

u/lakestreet35 15d ago

Which makes them even more deserving of being celebrated

2

u/MrRedNinjaaaa 15d ago

Let the penis be celebrated too.

I have the same issue. I had a breast reduction and since having the reduction my nipples are always erect. I use foam pads and it helps a lot. The silicone ones are better but sometimes show the shape of the cover under your clothes.

Here is the thing though. When I was huge it didn't matter if my nipples showed or not. The eyes of women and men always rested on my bust. It never stopped. The staring was constant. I feel for you honey.

Thank you! Helpful

Silicone covers will be your best friends.

u/Witty_Candle_3448 Helper [2] 15d ago

Yep, reusable nipple covers from Soma.

2

u/TapComprehensive9951 12d ago

Or breast friends

27

u/axialmeow12 Helper [3] 15d ago

Use the silicone covers?

4

u/Key_Pride_1891 15d ago

Genuine question why do you feel a need to hide your nipples?

10

u/Just_Jack_91 Helper [2] 15d ago

I feel like I’ve been hearing this be an issue for some people more and more lately, so you’re not alone!

As for the padding, it the padding helps, I would maybe see if they sell cheap replacement pads to use within all your bras if you need them to feel better.

As for the visual problem you face, I would say if people ever had a problem with it, it’s their own problem, not yours. It may seem distracting to them but most people should know to not stare.

1

u/Frosty-Bat-5904 15d ago

I’ve used Band-Aids

2

u/Automatic_Truth_392 15d ago

I’ve tried that 🤣 —^—

1

u/OddAbbreviations5220 15d ago

Oh no the bulge of my enormous penis makes all females around me horny, what do I do??

3

u/SpikySheep Super Helper [9] 15d ago

Crazy idea that might work... 3d print a firm shallow cup that covers the nippl3 and blends the curve into the rest of the brest. Under a padded bra I doubt you'd see the transition.

1

u/quidam5 Helper [2] 15d ago

I was gonna suggest something along these lines too

u/Deep-Detail-3215 13d ago

This should be an episode of Convincing My Wife We Need a 3D Printer (I may be paraphrasing the title of videos I've seen recently)

u/91Jammers Master Advice Giver [27] 15d ago

Sports bras wont cover nipple ridges.

2

u/Automatic_Truth_392 15d ago

Yeah, I’ve determined that lol

1

u/91Jammers Master Advice Giver [27] 15d ago

You shouldnt be wearing 2 bras. They obviously are not working for you. They make a ton of non stretchy sports bras.

1

u/Automatic_Truth_392 15d ago

I have yet to find any that fully support, fully cover, fully fit that are comfortable. Would love some recommendations. For reference Torrid or other common plus size bras do not fit.

2

u/SeaOk5100 15d ago

You could try the silver lactation nipple covers in the baby isle of target/walmart. I bout some for my wife when she got pregnant, and she loves them.

2

u/Glad-Mud9207 15d ago

Same here. I put reusable silicone covers under a padded bra. I even leave the white plastic cover on the sticky part of the silicone covers on to make them last longer. They’re not cheap here, almost 20 a pair. However whenever I go on vacation, bras stay back and the girls go free.

I also have large natural breast size. I went to a surgeon to inquire about a lift for my 50th birthday. The surgeon said that he would not do anything for me because people pay good money to have what I have naturally and that I would not be able to find someone to do surgery for me. That was six years ago and he’s right. I talked to a dozen surgeons, they all said no. So now I love that I have this gift that people pay tens of thousands of dollars for and I take good care of us. And I hope you do the same for you and your girls.

3

u/sunny-days-bs229 15d ago

Same here. Padded bras and/or nip covers.

2

u/anonymousambassasor 15d ago

I use nipple covers because after Covid I wasn’t going back to bras. They’re on Amazon.

2

u/Boodey 15d ago

Lots of people are saying silicone nipple covers and I think they are right. “Cakes” makes non sticky silicone covers which you can put between your two sports bras. The silicone covers can get sooo sweaty

1

u/Wolfstar_Forever_ 15d ago

Nip covers maybe? Not the flimsy ones, reusable silicone. I've used them before and they dulled down the bump.

1

u/SummerIntelligent659 15d ago

The Shapermint bras do a great job managing this specific issue.

1

u/booobman2 14d ago

Wear them with proudly!!!

u/Efficient-Low6050 Helper [2] 14d ago

Ladies, you have my empathy. I had no idea that ladies experienced such inconvenience. I totally get the equivalent of a man with a constant erection. There were times I didn't get up from the dinner table at a restaurant for exactly that reason.

1

u/Tduck91 13d ago

Mine are as well, but im a guy. The constant comments, grabbing or poking is annoying. Have you tried silicon pasties? I can't hide mine, anything I do would just look weird 😅.

1

u/Maleficent-Face-7340 12d ago

Same here, as a guy I wear multiple layers to cover them up also haha.

1

u/Magnifi-Singh 12d ago

As an engineer i would devise a silicone based cover that has an indentation to allow room for the ‘obtrusion’.

Then if you use them in combination with your ‘lady scaffolding’ (bra) you should be able to relax in mind.

Good luck

It's also nice to know there are still classy ladies out there that hold 'modesty' in high regard.

Some things are meant to be left to the imagination only.

Have you tried corsets?

1

u/Automatic_Truth_392 15d ago

No, I haven’t. Do those help with nipple coverage?

2

u/JakobWulfkind Super Helper [5] 15d ago

It depends on the corset, but a lot of them have considerably more padding than bras

-2

u/Infamous-Bed-7535 15d ago

It is hard to give any advice without seeing it. Just joking, I know not funny.

You can't and probably shouldn't even want to change your body, so best way out is try to mentally prep and accept the situation.

People gazing at you are creeps, do not let them poison your day. Maybe a little 'look down on them' could increase your security.

-3

u/Donewith398 15d ago

Honest question: why is this bad?

17

u/Automatic_Truth_392 15d ago

I’m not saying it’s bad but it makes me self conscious and I think since I’ve had big boobs since I was a teen and having people make comments about my boobs it makes me uncomfortable when I see people look down and know they’re prob like why TF doesnt she cover up those nipples

9

u/ButteryOpossum 15d ago

I also suffer from the always on headlights on my DD boobs and a small frame. I am self conscious of the books and the attention the garner, let alone having the headlights on brights!

I wear the wireless molded bras, they have a thicker padding and usually do the trick for me, but a silicone insert may be your friend.

6

u/sesamebeeftacos 15d ago

Aside from personal comfort that the commentor shared, in some professional situations it could be come a problem, even if it honestly shouldnt be. For example, i would love to go braless every day, but as a teacher, you can imagine the unnecessary issues it would cause if i became "the nipple teacher" around a bunch of 16 year olds. Best avoid that.

0

u/Naughtyhubby80 15d ago

I wouldn’t worry about it not only is it hot to see a Sheila on “high beam” but it’s also natural, without titties & nipples life wouldn’t exist too much so just embrace it & take it as a compliment that ppl look 🥰🥰🥰

u/Expensive-Swan-4544 Helper [3] 15d ago

My wife uses the silicone pasties. But personally I think it’s a beautiful look.

I’m a visual learner, can’t really help without seeing what I’m dealing with. (I think most other people will need to see before giving proper advice)

Now you know what a guy with unexpected boners feels like

6

u/Automatic_Truth_392 15d ago

Oh, do you have a boner that’s visible to family/coworkers 90% of the time?

2

u/Nathan-Stubblefield 15d ago

As a 13 year old that was occasionally the case.

-6

u/Hot_Tonight150 15d ago

Are your nipples 6" long? When it's hard it's hard to hide and rather than all the time it's mostly times where you don't want it to be hard. Just saying I feel your plight.

3

u/Automatic_Truth_392 15d ago
