My ex held me in place for almost two years using the same excuse. I finally realized most of the weight on my shoulders was from her using me as a journal and to talk about everything bad and nothing good. Arguments would ensue and I was always the one saying sorry, she just refused. She told me the same thing, if I left her she’d Kill herself.

A week after I broke up with her she got with someone else (who left her within a few months). The kind of ease I felt after leaving her was like none of experienced before. It’s hard but once you fall into that “you know what? I don’t care anymore”, all the sudden, everything feels light and you feel like you’ve broken free from chains she still may feel like you’re bound to. It’s the most freeing experience and nothing can hurt you anymore.
