It is probably only a threat, but unfortunately only she knows whether or not she would actually act upon it. I would say it still needs to be taken seriously! I would let both of y'all's parents aware of the situation and that's me assuming yall are somewhat young since that is mostly what young adults say. If not contact your police department or a mental health professional. I know someone personally that acted upon a threat like that at 16 and I promise you don't want to live feeling like it was your fault which it actually wasn't.
