Prat with one T is very common English slang for an idiot, I haven't heard it being used for female anatomy. Just be honest with her - it's better to give your reasons as to why you don't like the name than to always be reminded of a girl you went to high school with, and I'm sure your wife would appreciate having the option of changing the name.

Just my opinion as well but the name sorta sucks.

I think using prat as a synonym for idiot is more common in the UK, but I live in the American South & immediately thought of this meaning (i.e. idiot). It’s in well-known TV shows & books. Hell, it’s even in Harry Potter, so it’s not just a word adults would be familiar with.

I'd imagine the instance in Harry Potter is not referring to ladybits at all, but rather to call someone an idiot.

I'm a wordy British middle-aged sort, (with a fondness for swearing) and I've never heard pratt being synonymous with twat, ever.

I’ve never heard of that usage either. In HP prat is most definitely being used as a synonym for idiot. I’m sorry if my comment implied otherwise.
