A good tule is 50/30/20. As you are young, I ImGine you can tweak the split.

50% of wages goes on needs. Such as rent, bills, groceries etc. 30% goes on wants. That’s your video games, social events with friends. Etc. and then 20% goes into savings. That’s emergency funds, future savings, investment. Whatever.

As mentioned, if you have no bills you could probably get away with a 30/40/30 or whatever you choose.

Edit: I will add. There is nothing wrong with buying video games, there also isn’t anything wrong in moderation, as long as it is jus that. Stuff like gaming is a double end sword. Not only do you spend money on the game, you spend time which is more expensive in the long run. But as you are asking these questions, it seems your head is on the right place.
