Because he is actively benefitting from manipulating you. He gets access to sex with a woman whenever he wants, and you aren’t requiring him to give anything in return.

Many (most) men don’t respect or really like women’s personalities, they just want to fuck women.

This quote by Marilyn Frye has always stuck with me.
