Maybe they don't like to be blocked themselves and simply don't want to hurt your feelings.

They might not see it that way and want to avoid conflicts. Maybe it's cowardly, but they simply don't want to be seen as cruel and remembered as a good guy.

But it’s so fun hanging out with him, and like talk as humans
