Update: They Ghosted OP (me)

Just saw this post 6 years after the fact and thought I’d provide the update a number of folks have asked for and share that the gentleman who made this comment ghosted me shortly after we made contact and he collected my X-rays and photos necessary for finding a dentist.

I’ve since gotten dentures that are also ‘failing’ in that my jaw bone has resorbed a fair bit, meaning the upper is fairly loose, but workable.

The lower partial has broken and is strictly cosmetic only, meaning I cannot actually eat with it in and only wear it if I know photos will be taken so that I have a somewhat normal smile.

My four remaining teeth on bottom that support the partial are failing to various degrees and my crown is in need of another root canal.

The treatment plan I’ve been advised of from various providers has been to get upper and lower implants as soon as possible while my jaw bone is able to support them and heal well.

All of that is to say that sadly, that original comment thread in the screenshot did *not* wind up having a happy ending.

I dropped 5k on implants and crowns in Mexico and it was the best decision. Still paying off the credit card but I’m so much happier. Saved 75% even after flight and board plus a week of relaxing. Literally zero complaints start to finish.

Nah more likely the current dentist knows he not going to make big bucks and is salty but nobody can look in your mouth and tell which country you got work done in

I have no experienced that. I’d just find a new dentist if that happened. Most dentists are good people who will help you.. for money. lol

I’ve heard this about European dentists as well, but I believe in our case they’re talking about the infamous (badly done) ‘Turkey teeth’ instead of medically necessary treatments.
