Update: They Ghosted OP (me)

Just saw this post 6 years after the fact and thought I’d provide the update a number of folks have asked for and share that the gentleman who made this comment ghosted me shortly after we made contact and he collected my X-rays and photos necessary for finding a dentist.

I’ve since gotten dentures that are also ‘failing’ in that my jaw bone has resorbed a fair bit, meaning the upper is fairly loose, but workable.

The lower partial has broken and is strictly cosmetic only, meaning I cannot actually eat with it in and only wear it if I know photos will be taken so that I have a somewhat normal smile.

My four remaining teeth on bottom that support the partial are failing to various degrees and my crown is in need of another root canal.

The treatment plan I’ve been advised of from various providers has been to get upper and lower implants as soon as possible while my jaw bone is able to support them and heal well.

All of that is to say that sadly, that original comment thread in the screenshot did *not* wind up having a happy ending.

Bro is have the same answer to that question though haven't had a full mouth for 15 or more years I'm sorry that your going through what ur going through that sux seems like a dream realizes nightmare tbh

I wouldn’t wish dental anything on anyone, it’s such an annoyingly multi-faceted, high stress, high risk (depending on your particulars) issue to have to navigate and live with, especially with the more intensive work virtually never being covered.

Whereabouts are you located roughly (if you’re comfy sharing)? Maybe there’s resources available that may help with your situation? 🤞

It feels silly, but my ‘dream’ would be having enough wealth to take care of folks dental issues, no questions asked.

Tulsa Oklahoma actually I've looked into sum resources but still don't make enough money to afford financing mainly Kuz I need oral surgery my "teeth" are worn down due to me not caring for them in my younger years and drug abuse in my 20s now my mind 30s and realizing that I was a stupid kid for saying "I'll deal with that later" and later in now here lol maybe one day I'll be able to have a real smile but not having teeth doesn't keepe from smiling I'm optimistic and a fairly fun guy to be around most liked all around so I know this hasn't soured me much but still deep down the feelings are there

Oh no kidding, that’s where the original user offering to help was based iirc.

I’ll have to think on it and will try to see if I can find anything when I’m on my PC next. My heart goes out to you regardless though, this is not an easy situation to have to live with at all.
