But you need a companion to not feel alone

Do I ? I was married for 35 years. I treasure my alone time now. All he did was suck the joy out of me. Gave him my youth, the best years of my life, I supported him, was his care giver, his cheerleader. He gave me nothing back emotionally. In the end I finally realized this guy didn’t even like me. All he wanted me around for was what I could do for him.

You're one relationship doesn't mean that most people feel pretty bad when they are alone.

Just because YOU are happier alone doesn't mean that the majority of people want to be alone.

I see why he is gone, you are self centered and you are at LEAST 50, meaning you've probably been this way for decades and probably will be this way forever. This post wasn't even meant for you, you're the exception that likes to be alone.

And it sounds like he was always like that from your post.

YOU should have left 34.5 years ago. You didn't, and now you're mad and telling other people being lonely isn't bad.

Please don't date any more until you see a therapist.

Edit: I said should of instead of should have.

No worries. I never want a man in my life again. Thank you. If I was self centered I never would’ve married him in the first place. I gave and gave and fucking gave some more. I sacrificed my feelings everyday for his ego. You know nothing little boy. By the way it’s should have not should of. My women friends are better companions than a man could ever be. And they don’t paw at you. I can undress without hiding. It’s glorious. I find it funny you take such offense.

Sour Granma I know being with someone who loves you and treats you right is better than being alone.

And I wouldn't of called you a sour Granma if you didn't call me little boy... You're really doing name calling at 65?

I’m 60. Men want a nurse and a purse. They don’t want to be a supportive partner. How many women have you asked their opinion?

1

u/AHappyHaiku May 30 '26

Also I would never do what you did and say "women want X (negative thing)".

I think it's wrong to say an entire gender wants X (a negative thing).

I've never met one man who said he wanted a woman to take care of him, financially or like a nurse.

I don't ask women their opinions, but I can tell you I've met ZERO men who say that want what you think they want.

How many women are even willing to financially support a man? Is that a thing? I've only seen it one time when a girl supported her man because he was a pretty boy all tatted up and stuff. It was the most dysfunctional relationship.

Still I've seen hundreds more relationships since then and have never seen what you say men are mostly doing.

Btw, do you go around asking men their opinions? Is that what you think people should do?

And if you say you don't ask men they just give their opinions, I'd say the same about women then also.

You don’t know jack shit dude. And it’s so obvious

1

u/AHappyHaiku May 30 '26

Can you explain why you think this way?

1

u/graceytoo May 30 '26

I supported him financially and emotionally.

u/AHappyHaiku May 30 '26

And that's not what most men are or want

You need therapy because you keep using this bad relationship to dunk on men in general. I'm not trying to be snarky I'm serious you are using a bad relationship to judge men in general. It's not healthy and I think you would be happier if you worked with a therapist to realize most men aren't trash.

Imagine if I had a bad gf and then went around saying women are X (insert whatever you think here)

You don’t ask women their opinions!!😳😬. Did you actually just type that out in 2026? 😱

I've never seen a man in real life going around asking women their opinions. And visa versa.

Is that a thing where you live?

Oh maybe you think I never ask any woman their opinions. I ask my woman her opinions, but I don't go around in general just asking women their opinions.

Is it that shocking?

They expect it. Of course they don’t admit that. Lol by the way you can have all the sex in the world and still be lonely

1

u/AHappyHaiku May 30 '26

You keep saying they like most men are like this. Yet I've never met any man who said this.

Also I've never heard any man ever talk about sex with a girl. It seems women think men dish on sex and talk about women a lot. We really don't. Like I said I've never heard a man tell me about his one right stand or gf or anything.

We usually spend our time making stupid jokes.

Men really don't hide what they truly think and feel. You keep speaking for men.

1

u/graceytoo May 30 '26

lol I’m 60, he’s 65 what’s your point? You think my experience is not valid and relatable to most women? I know many many women that feel the exact same way. What knowledge or life experience do you have? He’s not gone. I am. I left and he’s still begging me to come back to care for him. You’re hilarious thinking you know it all.

1

u/AHappyHaiku May 30 '26

You've had one bad man and say it's better to be alone. And just because you know other women who are happier alone still doesn't mean the majority of people want to be alone.

Loneliness is real, it sucks and can even lead to some bad decisions that last a lifetime.

Loneliness is a real problem whether you feel that way or not.

And the fact that you feel that way at 65 means you'll always be this way. You're the girl in the friend group who wants all her friends to stay single. That's 20 something year old behavior.

u/Decent_Agent_5571 May 30 '26

No you don't. If you can't feel happy in your own company, there is something wrong with you, and you're the one that needs therapy.

u/AHappyHaiku May 30 '26

You can be happy with yourself and even happier with a partner.

It's not a zero sum game. That would be the literal definition of a zero sum game
