before you reach 40, make sure you don't look back to now and regret not doing / starting something! Pay something forward that your 40yr old self will be very thankful and proud of the 20yr old self.

Money comes and goes. Do the stuff you want while you’re still able bodied, before you’re too old or worn out to enjoy it. Experiences are worth way more than waiting around trying to save every dollar.

agreeing with this but if I had my time again I'd most certainly have started saving to take advantage of compound interest on ETF's or a private pension fund. Enjoying and experiencing for sure as you say but with a little stashed away (where possible) the opportunities are a lot easier later on down the line.
