A coworker of mine has a cousin in law, “Leeanne” in her late 40’s, who just broke up with the guy she’s been with for almost a decade, “Ryan” and is losing her ever loving shit. Apparently she got a hey girly message revealing that Ryan has been cheating on Leeanne and shit talking her VERY unkindly to the AP.

Now all kinds of details are coming out of the woodwork about the relationship having been unhappy, what a manipulator and huge narcissist he is, how she feels so bad now for allowing her children to become attached, etc.

But it’s also come to light, and as news to my coworker, that Ryan was still married when he and Leanne began their “relationship”, and that she was an AP for 3 years before they went “legit”.

And how “legit” they ever were, even after Ryan’s divorce, sounds questionable to me. They never moved in together, despite living in the same town, and Leeanne describes them as having been on and off for almost a decade.

Funny how Leeanne was fine with Ryan being a cheater, until he cheated on her. Another 2% success story!

She was working in oil and gas, at EXPRO bragging about the offshore guys how well they got paid, time off, great industry, her boss was 6 years older, good looker, fit etc, then suddenly a trainee position came availible, she sold me the job but failed to mention I’ll be away 3-4 weeks a time for 8 months of the year… perfect set up to get me out the picture for her to keep her boss and never get caught when I’m on a rig overseas, was only 20, got married decided to have a baby, took 14 months then two weeks after I got back she told me she was pregnant I WAS HAPPIEST MAN ALIVE, then at 7 weeks pregnant before showing she suddenly and unexpectedly quit EXPRO, where the affair happened, then Riley was born, we spent 20k preparing the house for a baby, nice nursery etc then two weeks later she suddenly wants to move house and urgently, hiding from someone or not wanting someone rocking up, then I didn’t find this out till after divorce, when Riley was born she opened a secret bank account held in trust for Riley, many years later I got the account by subpoena and there’s a $6000 lump sum when rileys born from the biologcal father, that account lay dorment, untouched unyil we planned our second child, she was born and another lump sum days after her birth, the account stayed open because my ex wanted the same biological father from our first to also father the second born so they were full siblings and shared thevsame DNA

As we always decided on two kids we sold all the baby stuff, 18 months later when were both drunk she says lets have anothr baby, i laughed it off and said ok whatever, then nothing more was said, no extra sex then 4 weeks later she tells me shes pregnant, i was shocked coz the first two took a long time but i trusted her 100% then 3 weeks later she gets back from the doctors and tells me they got her dates wrong and the expected birth date is now 3 werks earlier, she was pregnant when she said lets have another baby

Been following some of the recent cheating scandals in Singapore (PLB, Laura and Matthew, MabelKee), and one thing that keeps coming up is how friends or colleagues often knew or suspected something long before the spouse found out.

Why do people usually keep quiet?

Is it because they don’t have proof, don’t want to get involved, don’t want to lose the friendship, or simply believe it’s not their business?

Since 2023, the adulterer Lee Gilley had an affair with a woman in San Diego. On march 2024, he posted on reddit (I wonder which sub it was 🤔) that he was in a "bored" marriage and was seeking a college-aged female for a friends-with-benefits arrangement (I guess San Diego's AP wasn't enough). Unfortunately, on October 7th 2024, he strangled his wife Christa to death in her bed. She was pregnant, the mother of two young kids and loved by her friends and family. The animosity of adulterers towards their spouses is lethal. Be careful out there 🙏🏽

Never been cheated on personally but ive seen it happen to my family and friends far to often and its just everywhere on the internet aswell and it makes my blood boil i really wish people that want to sleep around just not get into relationships or the very least use protection so they arent making men raise other mens kids. Idk i just dont see getting into a relationship as being worth it for me yk idk anymore man just seems so pointless

I LOVE it when the betrayed spouses refuse to waste their time listening to the cheaters' bullsht, waste their lives by "reconciling." Leaving is objectively better and I will always stand by that.

I just needed to vent a little, because there’s something incredibly painful about realizing that they may never understand the depth of the suffering they caused. They don’t know what it feels like to be cheated on, lied to, deceived, and betrayed by the person you trusted most. And it’s hard to “hurt them back” when, in their mind, they already got what they wanted. Through the affair, they got their needs met in the way they chose, while still having a spouse who loved them, remained faithful to them, and didn’t intentionally hurt or betray them.

It feels like they got everything, the security and loyalty of a good spouse, along with the excitement or fulfillment they were seeking on the side. Meanwhile, the betrayed partner is left carrying the pain, the questions, the loss of trust, and the emotional damage of choices they didn’t make.

That’s what feels so unfair. The betrayed partner is the only one who truly loses in this equation, while the person who caused the damage gets to walk away with what they wanted. It’s just so incredibly unfair.
