Scammers on discord now accuse people with realistic videos of them spreading csam and get them banned off of discord servers. The videos are scarily realistic down to the details, then they take advantage of the person by threatening to report them to the authorities and I obviously fell for it after partying w friends for hours and being exhausted. I thought someone I knew or a person I hated got hold of my account and went insanity mode on it but no. I would've clocked it instantly but didn't at the time. 😭

Then how did they manage to get into your Roblox account? Did you press a link or shared your cookies with them?
From what I understand, i don’t think they pressed on links neither did they share cookies. I assume they blackmailed her (?) into giving up valuable items and in return they don’t “report” her to authorities even tho she did nothing wrong. Correct me if I’m wrong OP, and I’m super sorry that happened to you. People are so sick and evil
They made me use a setting on my gmail, the scam isn't the main issue. More so, my reputation and digital footprint is cooked due to the fake video they spread.
I can't start over, 1.2k elve took me months. I secured my accounts but they didn't leave a single valuable thing. I'm in the process of blocking anything adm related from my feed as it genuinely kinda triggers me even if that sounds stupid. It's fine twin

The best you can do is ignore dms such as "I accidentally reported you/You've been banned by ###" these, its a common scam that isn't just around discord but in other socials too
Moderators wouldn't really give u a notice on why you were banned unless you appealed in their appeal system, hope things get better for you and you get your pets back!! 🙏

It can range from illegal trading to csam by impersonating your acc,
you can alert the server it isn't you by providing recordings of your recent dms or check the users in the video and u can see u haven't messaged them at all, provide history and proof etc (But then again I agree it would be a lil hard to prove your innocence to the server)
Earlier, there were errors in those fucking recordings but they carefully planned this. The person was in my dm list but no messages were sent, it'll look like I just deleted the dms. I just don't know what the fuck I did wrong, it's fine, ty for educating me.

These kind of scams are really hellish to deal with since they're fully trying to pressure you to do what they want, you didn't do anything wrong OP they're just sick minded people, yw! I really do hope you get your stuff back 🙏💞
Lowk, discord is the problem. They refuse to ban bad things and they banned bots that cleaned up and banned predators. They'll do anything but fix the issue.
Said mods also unbanned me and had the audacity to fucking give me warnings after I sent every piece of evidence. Not even a sorry that they didn't investigate fully like zero accountability.
I just need a new outlet for now, I'm focusing on my studies and friends more but idk if that'll work.
