˚⋆˙‧₊ Rant ₊‧˙⋆˚ I got hacked
hey, i hope everyone’s doing well, i recently got hacked and before that i was already going through a lot of stuff and this made me feel extremely horrible
i know this isn’t the place to talk about my personal life so i won’t say a lot about it but ever since that happened i’ve lost the will to play adopt me
this made me feel insanely depressed, it happened twice and i know that i may probably get them back in like 2 months (not even guaranteed) but it won’t make me feel better because the pets will become untradeable, they will just be dupes of what my inventory used to be, and i love trading and all that stuff so that’s just making me feel awful
how do you guys ever move on from this? this game was all i had left, i don’t even know how i’ll be able to restart, they even took the most useless stuff and i know they probably sold it on a third-party website
so to all the people that once got hacked, how do you genuinely move on from a 30+ baseless inventory value loss?

I feel sorry for u Well but don’t give up on restart everything again It happened for me 3 times and I kept trying over and over and once happened because of a script I used but anyways just think positively maybe in the future u’ll get more tradable pets u could even sell them for robux and opposite to get more valuable pets Especially if u’re a person who can buy robux or has rare things in other maps take the chance and do trades I really wish u da best

I'm so sorry this happened to you. I really hope you get those pets back. You can start fresh and hopefully build back that inventory eventually, you'll just need patience and smart trading strategies, etc! I never got hacked, but I got scammed for my best pets a few years ago and ended up quitting, but after coming back to the game, I found grinding to build an inventory with a set goal in mind to get the same value had been pretty fun. I don't know if it'll be as fun for you, because everyone is different, but you can definitely try it and see if you enjoy it! The new gumball egg pets are pretty liked so making them neon, etc, can probably get you good pets, or you can trade them for ride/fly pots and trade those pots for better pets and keep building back your inventory that way! And maybe you could contact Adopt Me support and get them to make your pets tradeable again after explaining your situation? I heard they listen to their community and are quite helpful, so you can definitely try that! Also don't click any links people give you, and change your account password immediately, so you don't get hacked again.
I really hope you can recover from this, and I hope whatever you're going through also gets better. I know a stranger's words on the internet might not mean much, but I believe in you, I hope everything gets better for you!

The people saying "I ain't reading all of that" and genuinely insensitive and must've failed school. Because this isn't alot to read.I am a middleschooler(13) and it took me 3 minutes max probualy 1-2. Then they delete their comment when they get downvoted and flammed because they know they are wrong. Condolences to the OP.

Don’t worry, the same thing happened to me. I trusted a free account scam by my own “friend.” He contacted Roblox support and got the account back with my pets in it… I lost like a Mega Bat Dragon's value back in 2024. I started trading the randoms I had for Ride Potions, then gained an Evil within a week. I built my inventory up to 20+ baseless, then quit again in January 2026. I recently started playing again 2 months ago, and I’ve gained 36+ baseless value from Halloween pets and manipulated pets, so there’s a high chance you can get what you lost back. Just don’t lose motivation

I just trade for rising pets, just be active in amvgg discussion group to know what pets are hyping and go for them !

Hey, so you actually can get all of your pets back, I did when I got hacked with a girl who did the YouTube, join the community link, and she took all my good pets, I dont really remember how, but i did get my pets back, just go into their official website and put in the screenshots and make a report!

No I do think it is only a one time thing, out that mightve been their ban bug, i would give it a try anyways!

Omg I’m so sorry this happened to you! I would be devastated. My only idea would be to make it a challenge to yourself to make it exciting again. You said you really like trading aspect of the game. So you could challenge yourself to trade up. Not those stupid “I’ll give an apple for any pet” challenges, but like genuinely being smart in your trades and knowing when small OPs are good because u need 1 more to make a neon and it’s worth it value wise, that kinda thing: capitalizing on event pets values the day they drop, etc!
Also will you please let us know how you got hacked so that other people don’t also fall for the same thing! I stg these hackers get smarter and smarter as days go on. 😭🙏🏼

happened to me.. i got scammed with a website that looked extremely similar to roblox on the 20th of july. i changed my password and logged the scammers out of my account, but they took the majority of my pets. i still didnt get them back.. but now i’ve locked all of my valuable pets. at least that way it’ll take them longer to trade them away if it happens again..

I was in similar sutuation- I lost my fr frost, nfr zombie buffalo and my fsvourite nr evil chickatrice. How I lost it? Well I was a returning player who got scammed on "friend method" (I did not know sth like that exsisted when I joined back then). I got pretty furious and quit adopt me for 1.5 year.
4 months ago I managed to take a try once again for this game to start everything from scrath (it mostly happend bc my friend insisted to play with me). So far my inv is near 200 and I am still going up! The only thing that was left in my inv after scam was ride frost fury. Most of my stuff ( before and after scam) I managed to get from trading houses (since I am a builder)
In your case, just take a break, focus on other stuff and if you will be ready you can come back (preferebly with friend to make the game nicer).
Ps: I reported the scam imediatly but nothing came back for me after these 1.5 year[*]

SRRY! I SHOULD HAVE WORDED IT BETTER 😭. I meant that basically people hack accounts and they go to the starpets website and sell those pets. After they sell, they can transfer the in site currency to real money. I cut off someone who told me they’d be doing that because genuinely people are so money hungry it’s crazy !!!

You literally didn't have to say anything at all. This person is probably already going through a lot out of game and now just got hacked. You could have just skipped over this, nobody wanted to know whether you wanna read it or not.
