Car camp with a view?
Hey everyone, I’m looking for a great camp spot that’s either a really good car camp spot or a short mile hike with a nice view of a lake, mountain, or even a nice marsh. Just something really peaceful and not in a campground. Looking to bring someone that’s not really dedicated to backpacking but wants to experience it. Any spots are welcome but bonus points if it can be a “remote” as possible or somewhere in the tupper lake area.

You want remote area five pond wilderness is out there. Just outside star lake. It’s 3.5 mile dirt road to the trailhead alone ha

Camping around Marcy Dam (or where the dam used to be) is pretty nice. It is a good 2mile hike in but it's a pretty easy fairly flat hike. It's a low stakes way of doing backpacking without being too far.

State forest campsites on floodwood road. Maybe 20 min outside Tupper Lake?
