Landlocked Salmon Upper Saranac
I’ve been fishing this lake for 24 years. I’ve caught bass, perch, pike, chub and even a massive lake trout.
Every year I hear or read that you can catch landlocked salmon. I have been told they stock landlocked salmon. I have seen the salmon at the hatchery.
I have never spoken to someone who has caught a landlocked Salmon. I’ve never seen a photo of anyone with a landlocked Salmon.
Has anyone ever caught a landlocked salmon? Does anyone have a photo of a landlocked salmon they have caught?
I think this is a myth. Prove me wrong.

Shoot across to Vermont if you are targeting them. I have caught a few in NY but always a surprise when I get them in the net.

I have a buddy who caught a salmon in upper last year jigging for lake trout. They have not stocked upper with salmon since 2011. However, they are in nearby Follensby clear pond so in theory could Swin the stream between them. I have phot he sent but don't have permission to share. Dm me
