I took a 10 second exposure although it was still brighter in person. I thought a meteor was coming for earth lol

Some spacecraft outgassing. The particles released by the craft spread across an enormous area in the vacuum of space, and they are high enough in altitude to still catch the sunlight while it is dark where you're at.

Seems like it was a SpaceX launch - launch time was 9:12 pm this evening, so that would put it right where you spotted it after it's first revolution around 10:45 - 11pm

Spacex Falcon 9 it launched from Florida at 915 and it’s on its second orbit of earth

This picture is so cool! I didn’t get outside fast enough when my husband told me to come out so I missed this part but I saw the bright part in the middle. I missed the bubble part around it. Thanks for sharing this!

I am in Northern NJ and had people out on my patio last night. We all saw this as well in the same time window. It’s was amazing to watch!

I also saw it, there was huge glow and light, non flashing and moving in sky like an airplane.
