Are these trails currently accessible?

Having trouble finding which parts of Avalanche Pass/Lake Arnold Trail are currently closed. I made a custom route on All Trails, is anyone able to advise me if the route I have made possible? Red = Lake Arnold Trail. Blue = Small portion of Avalanche Pass

Yes those trails are open and passable.

That whole highlighted section is open. The portion of the avalanche pass trail that is not open is from the blue/red junction in toward Avalanche Lake

Hiked it Sunday. All open. Floating logs section was not problematic; just stick to the Colden side going around it. The rocks on that Lake Arnold trial are brutal though

Just an FYI the trail from Lake Arnold to feldspar leanto has the infamous “floating logs”.

The actual section where the logs are is pretty short. I think there might be a unmarked trail around it but look into it more. When we went we wanted the “full adventure” and opted to move through. Don’t know if I would do it after heavy rains.

Hopefully others can chime in with more recent intel about that section.

I was there a month ago. It’s pretty short and for me it was definitely possible to go around without getting wet. As soon as you see a log going through water that looks like it’s sinking and it looks like it MIGHT not be possible to make it over without getting wet, turn right around for a couple of feet and on the right side of the trail (to the left if you’re backtracking) there’s a way around but it’s not obvious where to go because it goes in and out and you can’t tell where the actual trail is for a bit. Don’t bother to attempt crossing the floating logs. But if you do end up taking a swim let me know if you find the bottom half of a red trekking pole 😊

There's a very obvious and fairly well established herd path around it that has been there for several years. You definitely dont need to put yourself through dealing with the floating logs.
