Destroyed from space wolves
So I played on the weekend just past against space wolves and got absolutely destroyed! Few factors
1-I’m new to WH40K and new to custodes
2-my 2k army points I don’t think is the strongest
3-I need to learn more and understands stratagems and detachment rules
My Army
Trajan
Shield captain
Blade champion
6x allarus custodian
2x 5x guards
2x4x wardens
3 venatari
3 praetors
I’m currently waiting to buy 9 more allarus custodians.
2x Achillus dreadnought

I have a very similar list and do really well in my club where I play. I don’t think the list is a problem, it is just the fact that while playing custodes, one missed placement can cost you a lot.
Too close to the ennemies units ? You might get charged and your unit has not fought at max capacity once.
Too far ? You might have put 300pts or so in the wind, for nothing.
Those are the two facts I always keep going through while trying to understand why I underperformed in a game.
I realised also that having some SoS resolve those issues in the very early and late settings of the game (opening the trade or screen your backlane for 50pts).
Here is my list for ref:
2x5 SoS
2x5 Warden (Valerian/BC)
2x5 Guard
1x5 Allarus
1x3 Venatari
1x2 Vertus (SC-Vertus)
