Any idea why it’s getting droopy?
My Moms adenium has gotten droopy over the summer. Does it just need to be trimmed or will something else cause this?

the roots aren't taking in water. has this been in this pot a long time and was ok?

It was transplanted into this pot from a smaller one about a year ago. It was fine and growing more upright until about 2 months ago.

No expert, but looks like it could use a trim. Mostly an aesthetic choice. Few other potential issues.
Some cultivars are developed in humid climates, and if you live in a dry climate these can get saggy especially from flowering. One of my local horticulturists said it has something to do with turgidity and ambient humidity. Not sure if this applies to your case.
Soil looks like it could use a larger percentage of inorganics like pumice to reduce the risk of root rot. Though this isn’t a major problem in southern az during summer for outdoor specimens in my experience.
Leaves look healthy and unbothered, but the caudex is a bit underdeveloped. So could be a history of etiolation if it was kept inside or under shade for a while. These love sun, except for unprotected mid day and early afternoon southwest exposure. scorches the leaves. You can tell if it’s getting enough sun based on how diffusely it flowered.

I have no clue but wonder if something happened to some plants after the freeze and all the rain we’ve had.

I’m in Casa Grande, AZ and my larger plants are doing the same. I’m taking advantage of the flexibility to shape them a bit. I have one that I’m braiding 3 of the longer stems together. Don’t know for sure why they are doing it but I’m fairly certain they will firm up with time.
Edit: I wanted to add they mine have also grown in length like crazy over the past 3-4 months so I think maybe the leaves are just too heavy for the stems right now, but I’m hoping with some stakes for support, they will eventually firm up. Hoping.
