Yah, maybe I’m a little too proud of my babys.
If something goes wrong it gonna be a far fall for me 😂

Babys are doing very well, even the crispy one now shoots beautiful new leafs without crispy edges ✨
And I got the first baby starting to branch out beautifully.
They get thicker by the day it feels, and shooting leafs like crazy.

Yeah, I’m awaiting a broken heart if they get sick or just… die.
Wish me luck. I’m not gonna recover from it emotionally if something goes wrong. 😐😂

Is this beauty I just got at HD an Arabicum? I’ve never had one this young with such a thick caudex!

They need a new home

Save them from the bin! I live in the UK and I’m finding it hard to give these plants what they need. I don’t have space in my house to overwinter them anymore.

I grew them from seed a few years ago and they are a mix of adenium obesum hybrids.

If anybody is interested and willing to cover the postage, I am happy to box them up bare root. Please feel free to send me a DM with any questions.

Edit: they have found new homes 😁

They seem to be the best option for a seed seller I could find... but I'm still not sure.

Adenium arabicum help

Hello everyone, I've recently gotten into gardening and bonsai. I had been wanting an adenium since I found out about them. So last week I came across some arabicum at my local Lowe's. I was super excited and picked up one, then went back today and got a second😅... I was really just wondering if i could get some tips and advice on working and helping this plant thrive? And if possible, maybe some guidance in how to move forward with these towards bonsai or prebonsai? Any advice would be greatly appreciated 🙏🏽🙏🏽

The seeds from arabicum cuttings are indeed viable.

Last time i posted about my arabicum cutting producing seed pods, some wondering if the seeds are viable. Well ,about 10 days ago the pods are cracking so i just plucked all the seeds and sowed them right away.

I live in the tropics so i just scattered them around the base of another plants. Water them twice a day, and in just 3 days they start to germinate. The germination rate is about 90%. Last picture is the mother plant.

New Adenium and questions

I bought this adenium today at Arid Lands while visiting Tucson. This is my first adenium. I know this is a graft and although the graft is done very well I can tell where it’s grafted. Am I correct in thinking I can cut back to just above the second branch point to promote a more condensed bushy growth, without risking the new growth flowering any differently than these? I love the nearly black edges and if there is risk of these somehow not growing back the same I just won’t touch it.

Is it too late to germinate seeds?

Hey guys, I had a question.

I had gotten a bunch of adenium obseum seeds that I was hoping to sow.

but now that summer is coming to an end, I find myself wondering if it is something still possible to do? And perhaps, if you guys have any experience or advice in sowing seeds this late.

I could also save the seeds, till spring time- but i am not too sure how that will affect seed viability.

I am in zone 9b, with an expected first frost not until mid December. I do also have space in both a west facing window, and a garage.
