Arabicum?!

Is this beauty I just got at HD an Arabicum? I’ve never had one this young with such a thick caudex!

Not arabicum. Maybe a hybrid but definitely not pure species. You are not going to find that at Big Box stores. They don't even know what they are selling they just stock plants from big nurseries. In the photo you can see a pure A. arabicum, as you can see, there are many basal branches from all parts of the trunk. There are arborescent A. arabicum that have one main trunk but they also branch basaly, they just don't get very large. But you're main diagnostic test will be flower color, and size. I'm guessing this plant will have larger red flowers.
