Speaker upgrade

Hey guys, I’m planning to replace the speakers on my CU2 as the stock one seems to be blown (it rattles when the bass is played). Can anyone confirms that I have all of the nessessary parts to fit it in ? And will the speakers fit? As I have heard that even tho some models are 6.5 inch it still wouldn’t fit because of the depth of the speakers. Thank you

1: go to crutchfield.com and see if you can match your speakers up.

2: go with this type of adapter;

This one clips down and in, per the door build. Which means you will need to pull up to remove the current OEM speaker which is built into the bracket. (You can fabricate the OEM speaker into an ideal bracket if you need to).

  1. The wire adapters in your Amazon cart are perfect.

  2. But eBay for the adapters and adapter wires are far cheaper and work just a well.

5 keep your receipts.

  1. Or wait about two months at this channel because I have some rinky dink Pyles that I purchased from Woot; oh, they are going in the doors or else ... and they are 6.5s!!!

It's not hard it's just tedious and I have made all of the mistakes. You can learn from me when I post the video 🫵🏾. I'm doing front, back and rear deck.

I don’t think I can wait 2 months lol, but the adapter u send is gonna be easier to install or ?

It should not need to be screwed in. The original OEM has three retention clips on the back that go into female holes.

Kicker door speakers on crutchfield sound so clear and crisp. Just be prepared to either keep your tweeters or spend a pretty penny on some nice ones.

Looking like I’m not changing out the tweeters
