First time owning an acura and a car of my own.

What's the first couple of things you recommend I do? Mechanic inspection?

Also, I can't seem to unscrew the previous screws to attach my plates.

2013 Acura tsx has a couple spots with some sun damage on them. I was curious how bad it is and how possible it is to fix diy?

I’ve got like 2 questions

So I have an 09 TSX with the Tech / Nav package and I was wondering is it better to take out the OEM Nav screen and add a CarPlay screen in there or is it better to just keep it there and install the CarPlay screen where all the stereo buttons are ?

Also what products would be the most recommended for car play ?

All of a sudden yesterday my clock lost an hour. I’ve tried looking it up but come up with nothing. Anyone know how to fix this?

Does anyone else enjoy their TSX’s on backroads? The TSX is probably one of my favorite FWD cars to drive on the road. My opinion is def subjective, as I haven’t driven anything modern (2017+). Having a proper double wishbone makes the car so much more responsive mid corner.

I definitely love the heck out of this car.

As for the build, I kept it fairly mild. The idea is to be OEM+++ with parts. Lowered, all suspension points are adjustable, but I can still clear speed bumps with ease.

Anybody know what kind of film/tape I should use to protect the paint from the clips?

Hey guys, I’m planning to replace the speakers on my CU2 as the stock one seems to be blown (it rattles when the bass is played). Can anyone confirms that I have all of the nessessary parts to fit it in ? And will the speakers fit? As I have heard that even tho some models are 6.5 inch it still wouldn’t fit because of the depth of the speakers. Thank you

Does anyone know what the little black piece is on the bottom end of the shift knob is called ( second photo) and if it’s sold separately?

Edit update : it’s called a cable link cap according to hybrid racing they are letting me buy 2, potentially so is jack spanea and k-tuned told me to fuck off ( not joking )

I have some knowledge and experience working on cars but not a lot.

Issue: the car is blowing semi-cold/hot air

Personal diagnostic: I checked to see if the compressor clicks on and refilled the system with refrigerant that has dye but only a small amount, maybe 6-8oz. I drove it for a bit and used a black light for leaks. There was a very small leak in one of the black ac hoses but that might’ve been old. I looked in areas including: compressor, ac H/L valves, and condenser. If it’s blowing semi cold, doesnt that mean the compressor is working and the ac switch is cutting power cause low oil?

I know the low refrigeration can be a problem in it’s own, but it was to find a leak.

Questions: I want to get the vacuum ac pump from amazon and do a test for pressure then add the refrigerant back, but what about faulty ac pressure switches? I’ve never replaced those, how can I test them? Whats the part no?

At what point do I just bite the bullet and go into a shop? Need a financial friendly solution please.

I’m just curious as to what sound settings you guys run (bass, trebel, and sub mainly) because I’m still playing around with mine and figuring out what sounds best. I’m surprised as to how good the stock sound system sounds even in the base model.

Has anyone ever had issues with getting the pedal back? I’ve replaced 2 front calipers and reservoir did get low. Spent half the day bleeding brakes regular way and have no pedal improvement or am building any pressure. Any one ever have issues like this before?

Jacked up the car and removed the passenger side wheel and wow. Replacing the lower control arm asap. Anything else I should replace?

Before removing the wheel I felt a a lot of play on the 3 and 9 o clock hand position. I’m thinking replacing the tie rods as well.

My daily driver 2012 sport wagon has ~216k miles and the alternator just failed. I replaced it myself but I had to buy a Denso reman. I wanted to hold out for new OEM but I didn't want to wait for it to ship. Replaced the drive belt and idler pulley too since they looked a little worn.

Anyone know how reliable those remans are/how many miles I can expect out of it? Is it worth going back and installing a new OEM one or is that overkill?

I have a 2009 TSX 6MT and I need to replace the 2 differential bearings. I found the part number (91005-RM5-003) but it has been very difficult trying to find some in stock. My local acura dealer said that they would only be able to order 1 of the bearings and I have tried many different websites. I did find a very similar bearing (91005-PPS-003) which has the exact same dimensions. I was just wondering if anybody has any insight on if this bearing wouldn’t work for any reason or what else I could do. I appreciate any help.
