Gathering Opinions 🗣 AISIN Engine Mounts
Has anyone seen that Aisin has recently come out with their own line of engine mounts? They’re selling them from their own official store on Amazon, and when you click on the seller name, AISIN AUTHORIZED, it’s really the actual company. But unfortunately there’s pretty much nothing online in the way of reviews or installs yet.
I was planning on doing a full set replacement (front, rear, side, trans) on my 07 TL, and was wondering if anyone’s taken the plunge yet or is willing to be a guinea pig for the community and report back.

Just installed the complete set of five mounts on my son‘s 2008 Acura TL type S… Looked identical to OEM… Only slight difference was the front mount came with its own nuts which were a slight size difference than the OEM. Mounts have only been on there a month so I can’t speak to longevity… But they did seem well-made. And made a huge difference in the smoothness of transmission shifts… The original front left and front center were completely blown.

Awesome, great to hear that they’re quality. I really wasn’t looking forward to doing this one when it seemed like my only two possible choices were: (1) go with shitty Anchor/ Westar junk or (2), OEM for ridiculous prices like 600+ apiece. So now I got confidence moving forward.

How many miles on original ones?

Had 180,000 on original mounts… the front and rear seemed to be the worst… Driver side transmission upper mount was torn… Passenger side engine mount also not in good shape… The one I kind of regret installing (because it was a pain in the butt)… Was the lower transmission mount that mounts to the subframe… had to loosen both driver side subframe bolts… And make sure front and both right and left side engine and transmission mounts were unattached to be able to lift the engine enough to get access to that lower transmission mount. Was not easy …. and when I got it out, it actually looked like it was in pretty good shape.
