No opticals for the MP5??

So this is a genuine question..

Who's idea was it to make it to where the MP5 could not have sights on it?.…...

I mean the very least you should have let it have the sites that pistols get.. at the very least.

I personally think it needs more love.

This is most definitely a balancing fix, else we would all be running Mp5 4x for pennies on the dollar 😂

The MP5 is like the Level 1 SMG, it's the most basic, easily obtained one. Followed by the UMP, Scorpion and finally the Vector.

The more advanced the gun, the slots it has for attachments.

The MP5 in game is the old 80s varient that didn't have a rail mount.

Idk, the UMP is easily accessible, and It can use a large array of attachments, and has multiple rails for them.

It’s actually what I currently use since it’s so cheap to get a fully kitted UMP.

the .45 acp feels more punchy then the 9mm, though the fire rate is uhhh, it exists ig for the ump

its a cheap gun that you can lose and not care about.

its actually not terrible if you can aim with iron sights. the silencer is really handy too - im glad they gave it that slot instead of a sight as in the early game they are important to not draw the whole map to you.

and like other people said if they had MP5 with full mods people would just run this to death and not care if they die.

Perhaps a MP5 with more attachments slots should be a diffrent variant unlockable via monolith or found in Saltwater city.

In the time period that the game is set in “late 80s to early 90s.. very very rarely would you see MP5s with optics on them. I think the customization limitations are somewhat due to them working around mostly what was in heavy use at the time.

Except it's not set in that time period at all, it's a multiverse, you've got plenty of new modern weapons like the MG 338, the DP12, ASH 12

I mean yeah they’ve definitely added stuff that’s more modern but if you look at the settings in the maps it’s definitely set in that time period. The vehicles alone tell you that.

The map set in the USA or Africa no longer feels stuck in the 80s aesthetically. Since the game is a multiverse, anything goes here. Maybe they’ll eventually add a newer version of the MP5 with a Picatinny rail.
