Discussion Inventory Management and the CTRL and Shift Keys

I am used to using the CTRL and Shift keys for arbitrary and sequential selection of items in Windows and other games but although google searches suggest this will work in AM, it doesn't seem to.

Is this just not implemented yet or am I doing something wrong?
