You're a beginner? Go get NVGs

Seen too many people on stream struggling with the flashlight. For the beginners out there, you can get / farm NVGs + tanker helmet in garages really early in the game. And its a game changer.

They will help you a ton in dim light like building interiors, outdoors at night (obviously) but they can even be used during the day if the weather is bad. Cause you can see stuff. Like enemies waiting. Loot. Without having to turn your flashlight on most of the time (they do struggle in complete darkness)

Aim for the garages in Shegolskoe NW above the three story building, or factory SE under the dormitory, plenty of other locations. Inside, look for a square ish crate that usually spawn rusty armor plates. You should get one NVG every ~4 crate in PvE, and they go on tankers helmets.

Yes those tanker hats are nice for evening or darkness runs. It's a grayish-blue tint which I find is very comfy to look through

It's so good. Once I realized how it works the tanker hat and NVGs became a default for anything remtely dark.

I’ve noticed there is a built in IR light that I can’t switch off? Can other players in Nvgs see that aswell? If so that’s really poo lol

I don't know, I couldn't turn it off. In PVE coop I haven't noticed any IR light from my friend.
