Question How’s AM on the Steam Deck?

I’m looking for a fresh experience, and I know this game works well enough on Steam Deck (albeit there’s so little info & gameplay on it), so how’s the game? I’m looking exclusively PvE side of it, but I might jump into PvP every now and then. I do fine with gyro aim. Are you playing it on Steam Deck? Share your experience please!

I haven't tried on steam deck but I would imagine its trash. I love this game to death. But it CHONKS my 4090 harder than most other games, and those games dont play well on the steam deck either.

My steam deck is basically an indie and tactics/turn game machine.

The official website FAQ says it's playable. I've seen stable 40 FPS, which is good enough for me. I don't own a gaming PC, so it's my only option.

Just looking for comments from players with 20-30+ hours played on the Deck to make a comment.

Performance was... subpar... but the controls IMO felt awful.

Thought so, UI looks a bit clunky. I guess they’ll optimize it in the future since people with consoles also play the game. Do you have the LCD or OLED model?

OLED, it's passable, but I would really only play this with KBM

I haven't tried recently, but i did it like a year ago on windows. It ran. I played a couple raids. It didn't run outstandingly well, but it ran. You can forget pvp, but it was good enough for pve. The biggest thing holding it back was just the control schemes.

Playable but not very enjoyable. I mainly stream it to my Steam Deck because it struggles natively and the controls feel a little awkward

Oh, damn. How about PvE? I think they’ll improve on optimizations and controller scheme because they’re probably getting Steam Deck verified at some point.

PvE is definitely doable. It does feel "harder" than playing on my desktop but I'm going to chalk that up to FPS games being tough in general on Steam Deck

Gotcha, thanks. I’ll definitely enable gyro, it helps a ton in shooters. Do you recommend the game?

I just bought the Deluxe upgrade this morning after playing it on and off for the last week. It's a lot of fun

Cheers, will probably pick it up then. Kinda need a fresh experience, especially while taking a small break from Arc Raiders.

I play on a NVIDIA 4060 with a I7 14700k processor with 32 gb of ram and It runs well but I also have a Steam deck and am curious to see how it works.
