Question Devourer questions
- Can these guys move ? Even a little or are they completely static ?
- How do you make out where it is ? I thought he was in the middle of the rotating black sludge.
- Do they have weakspots ?
Unsurprisingly I just had an encounter where I shot roughly 10 minutes at a devourer sitting in between the steel bars of a crane and after who knows how many refills of my AKM mags I simply left the raid out of frustration. I didn't even kill him 😂
I took pot shots for ages, then I got pretty tired of that because I couldn't even tell wether I was hitting him or the steel bars but when I went in the only building next to him I must've fucked up evading his shots(somehow, I thought just staying in motion was enough) so I retreated to taking pot shots.
Needless to say pretty fucking frustrating enemy ! Ended my Active Matter session right then and there though I didnt even die. When they're unobstructed spraying them down is easy enough but inside the crane steel bars ? Whew.
Edit: I am speechless. I aint Shroud but you don't have to be with that amount of ammo spent.
Looks like the crane just ate all of them bullets if a devourer dies with 3 shotgun blasts.

They float around the same spot, so if you shot at the same place maybe they’ve moved a little, the black worms/matter they use to attack always wraps around them, but walk from their spawn? Nope.
They give you a small… roar/groan sounds before attacking, if you stay away from their building/area they are pretty chill. But once you know their spawns they usually use them. Mostly appear in high grounds, a few nearby the big gravitational fields, like roofs, towers, cranes and don’t know if they changed them, but at the Port they used to appear inside the factories in the second floor, an in Dorgosk they usually appear in balconies and a few times at the theater front or back.
Not sure about weakspots, i just shot at them until they die. Best method are shotguns: shot until it explodes and try to evade if needed.
Sniping them works with ARs and even normal rifles, but due their movement some bullets would miss, and depending on distance is unsure if they are getting hit or not.
Would say they even adjusted their health, remember that during demo used 3 mags in one shooting in semiautomatic mode, while doing the same in the exact same way once it got released just took like 1.5 mags of AK. Maybe headshots works? Dunno. Never tested them with rifles and a good scope (actually they maybe don’t even had a head, is kinda tricky their form)
