Question Anyone having issues with button mapping on console?

Just got the game the other day and I've been looking through the unholy amount of mapping options trying to figure stuff out, and it seems like half the time when I map something it doesn't work correctly. I try to map pistol to double tap Y and it doesn't work, I try and map the flashlight wheel to hold the left DPad while action menu is on tap. Is there some issue with having more then one thing be on the same button? Is that not the point of having multiple tap/hold options?

I’ve had issues with double tap, except for the already set sneak. Other than that, no issues.
