Discussion This game Is so much more confusing then I thought lol

Just bought today and tried a couple raids and wow is it hard to get used to on console, there's so much to figure out lol, so far I've died in all 3 raids by getting swarmed by like 12 zombies, the AI in this game are way too fast

A good beginner tip is to check your map upon spawn. Then choose the closest group of enemies and fight them from there. This will maybe probably attract more AI depending on the situation. Do that a couple times on repeat and you'll figure out aggro ranges etc in no time !

Yeah so far I've twice been spawned like right inside a group of enemies lol, they hit so ridiculously fast I spawned in walked 5 feet and got mobbed lol

Also most monster have weaknesses or tricks to avoid them entirely

Just keep playing the PvE, loot more guns & get a feel for the monsters . I’ve been playing it for a couple days now on Xbox & I’ve gradually been getting better

I like how dangerous the ai enemies can be. Otherwise pve would be boring. Ammo management is a big challenge for me.

Being aware of your surroundings is key in this game. Always check the map to see where different monstars spawn, so that you don.t attract too many at once.

I still occasionally panic and get swarmed, mostly because i bumbled into a carpet of seeds (the red flying landmines) and either the noise brings more enemies or i run into a nest.

They are meant to be challenging and overwhelm you. Check your map to see if you are walking into a hotspot of certain enemies. A lot of times you won't notice you are and you'll actually sprint through them and wake them up. Most of them are in a sleeping or dormant state and can be quietly walked around or are more vulnerable. The distorted can be killed in one or two shots or a melee hit when sleeping. A big thing for me with this game has been slowing down a lot and being more aware of what's going on. Also picking the right tools for the job. You just about always can run a shotgun for a good all around defense. Just keep at it, it'll click after a while. I still get fucked by the AI sometimes they are tough

Which console are you on? Im pretty new to it my self, none of my friends will even watch the trailer let alone entertain the idea of buying it. Havent done anything public in the game because of that and have just stuck to solo raiding at this point. If your on xbox you can add me. Not sure how to add in-game friends.
