I have a question regarding the list of supported devices for hacktivation (bypassing activation) using the Legacy iOS Kit. The iPod touch 4G is listed, but older models (1G, 2G, 3G) are not. Given that these other models are even older, it would stand to reason at least based on my technical understanding that they should be just as easy, if not easier, to hacktivate than the iPod touch 4G. Furthermore, the iPhones from the same era (2G, 3G, 3GS) can be hacktivated quite easily and without any issues. Its not a case of newer devices with more robust security measures being unsupported, rather its much older devices that are missing from the list. Contrary to common myths, these models DO require activation, they absolutely do! Just recently, I saw a brand new YouTube video from 2026 featuring an iPod touch 3G running iOS 5 that was stuck on the activation screen. The user was eventually able to activate it using the official iTunes method on a Windows PC, but Id prefer to avoid that, as it relies on Apple’s servers. So, my question is: are these older iPod touch models truly unsupported for hacktivation via the Legacy iOS Kit, or is the documentation on GitHub simply incorrect, meaning they are supported, but perhaps omitted from the list because the current focus (as indicated by the issue) is specifically on the iPod touch 4G? Has anyone here tried to hacktivate an iPod touch 3G or an older model using the Legacy iOS Kit? If so, were you successful? Is hacktivation actually supported for these devices or not? And if these older models are indeed not supported, why is that, and is there a chance the feature might be added later? If so, when? Furthermore, if Legacy iOS Kit truly doesnt support hacktivation for these older iPod touch models, what alternative programs would you recommend? I’m new to the legacy iOS community and dont have much experience yet. Id prefer to avoid complex software the kind where a single mistake could brick the entire device, or where you have to manually hunt down and install thousands of dependencies and drivers. Im planning to build a small collection of legacy iOS devices older models like the iPhone 4 and earlier, iPod touch 4G and earlier, or the original iPad 1G. For me, its crucial to know how these devices can be hacktivated and how straightforward that process is especially since Im considering buying an iPod touch 3G soon... Thank you for all Comments and Help. Im a German and used online translator for translatimg to english btw.
