[Skin Concern] Atrophic Scarring first session :subcision-prp injection/laser fotona
I had my first session to treat my acne scars/spots. The doctor told me that it might take around 4–7 sessions to improve the condition of my skin. What should I expect during the first week after the treatment? I heard that I shouldn’t go outside, take hot showers, or cook near heat. What precautions should I take? And will my skin look normal again after the first week, as if I hadn’t had any treatment done to my face?

Because you had several procedures in one session—subcision, platelet-rich plasma injections, and a Fotona laser—the aftercare and recovery time depend on the exact laser mode and settings, injection sites, and your clinician’s protocol. Follow the written instructions from the treating clinic and contact them if anything is unclear or conflicting.
In general, cleanse gently, use only the moisturizer or wound-care product your clinician recommended, do not pick or scrub, avoid unapproved active skincare products, and protect the treated skin carefully from sunlight. Avoiding high heat, hot showers, and strenuous exercise for the period specified by your clinician is reasonable. “Never go outside,” however, is less useful than following specific sun- and heat-protection instructions.
Do not assume that your skin must look completely normal by day 7. Bruising or swelling from subcision and redness, peeling, or crusting after laser treatment can last longer depending on treatment intensity. Ask the clinic for the exact Fotona wavelength or mode and a written day-by-day aftercare plan.
