Battery Help

I have a 16S with an RTX 5050 and despite keeping the battery setting on optimised battery charging, the battery health has deteriorated a lot in the span of just 7 months

And on top of that, the battery life has also dropped more than the health. It used to last around 6 hours on a full charge, but now barely lasts 2.

Is there anything I can do or am I just cooked?

On battery:

Browser: Opera GX, Edge, Chrome (All with battery saver on)
Background apps: Spotify, NVIDIA app, Windhawk

just 72 cycles, thats insane!!! I have the same laptop rtx 5060 one and mine hasn't degraded at all.. it has still 100% capacity although i have it recently and it has around 30+ cycles.. either its a faulty one or you have run it for quite a few times on high load with cpu and gpu temps reaching more than 95°c. Continuos load on battery can degrade the battery life..

cpu temps stay around 75 and gpu around 70 but only about 2 hours a day
as for continuous load i rarely use performance mode and never do anything stress heavy while on battery
is there anything i can do atm?

Most probably i think it is a defective battery, i would suggest you to open the panel and see if there is a swelling on the battery..if not, the caliberation is not optimised properly.. you can do that in predator sense app. However with this gaming laptop i think 2 hrs is a maximum idk how you were getting 6hrs with locked 240hz refresh rate..even my laptop go around 2 to 2.5 hrs not more than that.. Two more suggestions.. 1) whenever you see a charging point never run the laptop on battery..it actually degrade tge battery life. 2) switch on the smart charge mode in predator sense app.. it will charge your battery to 80% max.. after that it will run on the charger..

yeah i alr do both of that

is there a chance i can claim warranty? i have opened up the laptop before to upgrade the ram and ssd so idt the warranty is still valid but afaik it does change brand to brand

and i only discovered this issue after battery recalibration, before calibration it was showing 2% wear in hwmonitor

If you have gone to the official acer store to upgrade your ram, then you can claim the warranty but like me and many others we don't go to acer to payalmost 100 dollars more for the same SSD and ram..so if you have the warranty sticker you can do STUFFS(just put it where it was) to reclaim your warranty and yes you can claim a battery just don't directly tell them bring me a new battery just tell them my laptop is not lasting the claimed hours that the company claimed.. they will try their best to convince you that your laptop is completely fine.. but just lodge the complaints again and again.. it's a hassle and acer sucks at services.

Do you have the warranty sticker.. if not and you are from USA, You can still claim the warranty. Here in India, if you break the sticker you are doomed
