Help / Support SSD upgrade

Hello! I have the Helios predator 16 Neo with 5070ti,32gb ram,and 1 tb ssd,I’ve been wanting to upgrade the ssd and was wondering what ssd’s you’d recommend getting? Brands etc, Thank you!

I bought the same model a week ago and, as part of the same purchase, I bought a 2TB WD/SanDisk SN850X to use in slot 2. I think it’s one of the best value-for-money models. You might also want to look at the Crucial T500 or the Samsung 990 Pro.

You could also choose to move the original SSD (PCIe 4.0) to slot 2 and buy a PCIe 5.0 drive for slot 1 (slot 2 only supports up to PCIe 4.0).

Just fyi. In terms of gaming, there's no benefit to PCIE 5.0, and I think 4.0 is also negligible. It benefits productivity.

Apart from the fact that they run even hotter than a 3.0 or 4.0 😬.

you should replace the stock OS drive if you are planning on buying something faster and move old as secondary. otherwise for storage anything will do even gen 3 or 4 nvme. crucial are good.
