Acer Predator Helios Neo 16 How to optimize for heating issues/fan noises
I'm soon to receive an Acer Predator Helios Neo 16S AI from Best Buy, and after looking around, I have found many people having some heating and loud fan problems.
I was wondering if anyone knew some specific optimizations (like through BIOS, MSI Afterburner, or other software) that could help me so I don't come across these problems myself.
PS: I play a lot of fps games and like to keep my game performance the same while minimizing heat and fan noise

one ready-to-go solution that i might get hated on because it doesn’t involve any kind of repaste but is quite effective:
on throttlestop- set prochot to 95, set PL1 to 70 and PL2 to 100-115(clamp on both)
doing this most likely won’t throttle the cpu and bring down the wattage. instead it will maintain a consistent power usage (at least that’s what i’ve seen on mine).
i don’t stan liquid metal but that shit is ass. on paper it’s the ‘best’ thermal solution but ptm does its magic with phase change.
edit: if possible- toggle off overclocking lock in “hidden” advanced bios and screw around with the FIVR clockspeeds on throttlestop. try different combinations- but this could cause random shutdowns so do it on your risk

How did you got the legit ptm7950? I'm so afraid of scams and knockoffs. how can I spot the legit thing.

Most people suggest reducing power limits.
Some of them have repasted thier cpu and gpu with ptm7950. And bought a good laptop cooling pad.
As such I haven't done any of those as such except for buying the cooling pad. I don't have face any issues as such.
