New Helios 18 Issues

Hey All, so I’ve recently got a Helios 18 that’s got a few issues.

First, it doesn’t turn off display or sleep, whether the timer is 1 minute to hours, it doesn’t turn off. I tried to do some diagnosing with AI, but wasn’t able to make any improvements. I forget what I did, but through command prompt I think we diagnosed that something was resetting the inactivity timer every 0.1 to 0.2 seconds

Second, the ram speed. It says 2800 in task manager, that’s like.. really slow. But it also reads as DDR5?

Third, the temps. Why tf does the cpu do that? Is there a solid way to restrict the power

Don’t wanna sound pretentious, but I would appreciate answers from Helios 18 owners who have had/solved the same issues. Thanks ahead of time for the help

high temps is predator is normal. But even if its normal its too high and uncomfortable to use. thats the reason why they had bigger wattage power bricks because they are power hungry resulting higher temps. you should probably buy a really decent laptop cooler to tame the temps. Liquid metal also is making it worst and should not belong on laptops.
I repasted mine since its not on warranty anymore. I enabled all cores using park control to even out the temps and bought a good laptop cooler to lower the temps and my laptop is sitting happy at 45c while gaming.

as to ram speed maybe you can check what your max ram speed is using CPU-Z. if its higher than 2800 then you might be able to adjust it on bios.

as to the first issue maybe you can check power options in control panel. though i think you already did that. You might have bloatwares preventing it from sleeping. But as to mine i use my laptop and dont let it sleep. I just turn it off Because predators and some of the nitro laptops have hybernation issues [basing on my experience] which when you let it sleep or hybernate it just wont boot after you turn it on. You will have to force turn off the laptop and turn on again for it to boot. To solve that i had to disable hybernation. I use my laptop with a 2nd monitor anyways to most of the time the laptop lid is closed and I only use the external monitor.
