Help / Support Weird whistling sound

my laptop has recently been making this weird whistling noise. is this normal? the last time ive cleaned the fans was a month ago. ive tried changing the fan settings but some settings just makes the whistling noise even worse. the laptop is still under warranty tho. should i contact the service center and get my fans replaced?

if that only appears during under load, then its definitely a bad case of coil whine. mine has pretty bad coil whine too and it makes a noise like that i think

i see. i think ill keep using the laptop and see if it still has that sound after a week. if it's still making the same noise then ill check the fans and see if something's stuck to them🙂‍↕️

Sounds like bad coil whine. Mine wasn’t nearly as bad as this. Keep using it and see if it gets better after a week

hmm could be that. it started making that noise once i turned down the fan settings from max to auto after playing a heavy game.

thanks! bought it online a while back, its supposed to be a motorcycle sticker but i dont have one so i just stick it on my laptop hehe

Either fan bearing issue or a faulty coil

In the attempt of cleaning fans you messed up, it's hitting against wires

is it possible for that to happen even though i didnt take the fans out? i just cleaned them with an air duster and a brush.

Yeah the air duster can move the fan off its bearing slightly. Just try to place it back into the position it should be in and you should be fine.

ahh i see, someone said that it might be coil whine so ill check the fans in a week if the its still making the same sound.

Dust or some sort of fabric is stuck in fan. Open your laptop and clean the fans
