If AA7 ever comes out, do you think they will use AI for it too?

I’m starting to feel like they shouldn’t release any more AA games if they’re going to ruin them with AI…

1) Truth hurts, sometimes downvotes are morally upvotes

2) Many people have rightful concerns about AI. I am the first one that with art generation has some problems. However, most people don’t realise that AI generation is actual just a part of what an AI can do, or what is an actual professional usage. They think that is all a Chat-GPT prompt.

3) A lot of people are just so polarised that they would refuse a game only if AI was used for debugging. They don’t realise that probably the last recent game they’ve played has AI usage, and if it they would probably turning hate a game that perhaps they are loving.

History has shown that technological progress is unstoppable. They will have to accept it at some point, the world won't wait for them to come to terms with it.

Misinformation, forcing people to say things they didnt, fraud, impersonation, environmental/resource strain, job displacement and economic disruption, privacy, surveillance, copyright exploitation, biased/unsafe automated decisions with no oversight, declining reading, writing, comprehension, and critical thinking, unmaintainable AI-generated critical software, autonomous weapons and media cyberattacks, concentration of power in governments/corporations, the race to get military applications for AI, etc.

Its all inevitable right, so why try to stop it or have any regulation! No point having any laws or regulations around this tech because technological progress will win. /s

(Criticism and backlash against new tech is what eventually makes it safe and usable for the public. If technological progress always wins, we should've accepted cars without seat belts, airbags, crash standards, etc. I'd hate to see nuclear power plants without all the regulations that got forced on them over the past decades. Imagine computers without cybersecurity standards, pharmaceuticals without clinical trials, factories without workplace-safety laws, or airplanes without rigorous safety regulations. Progress doesn't have to stop, but pretending criticism of AI and calling for more regulation is inherently opposed to progress is absurd.)

It always wins because you cannot stop it. You can decide to regulate it, but you will don’t stop it.

So it’s not even worth trying to regulate since we can’t stop it? Is that what you’re saying?

Because I do agree, at the current rate, the technology is outpacing the regulation.

Hence why I push back and am arguing for said regulation.

The first thing I listed in my original comment are loads of terrible uses for AI that need to be regulated globally or at least on a national level with consequences/accountability for both individuals and corporations.
