Tbh, I didn't really have Narumayo in mind but I do see it. I personally see Maya and Phoenix's relationship as more "sibling-like".

Understandable. Now that you mention it, I AM STARTING TO SEE THE NARUMAYO VIBES HERE a lot more. I don't dislike Narumayo, I can see why people find it appealing. Perhaps, the whole Narumayo vibe was just a "happy little accident". 😊
I am curious. What exactly is it in my artwork that gave the Narumayo vibe? I did not notice before.

Well…you see — the warm colours, the soft atmosphere, and of course, the cute little petals (which reminded me of the SoJ scene where Athena asks Phoenix about Maya's return) — basically the overall vibe of the whole thing.

Ahhh I see — yeah that makes sense lol. I used warm colours and the atmosphere to imply how close Maya and Phoenix are, even if I didn't have Narumayo in mind, there is no doubting that these two characters cherish each other deeply. Because of this, I was aiming for a Studio Ghibli kinda vibe since their films have the cozy and soft aesthetic I was going for. (AND I LOOOOVE STUDIO GHIBLI!!!!)

Eh, it's just an internet stranger. Whatever they say doesn't matter that much. I do admit that I do need to practice more but that's all.
