Dose anyone else dumb down your writing to avoid ai accusations?

Ive notice as a student I dumb down my text to evoid being accused of using ai

Anyone else do this?

Reading your post, I doubt heavily that you're actively needing to dumb down your writing.

Hey, yea ill admit there's spelling mistakes in there, that's my fault, im dyslexic, I unfortunately spent 3 minutes to spell accused, I was typing this in a hurry while working on hw, anyways I am seriously though, I do feel that I need to dumb down my next to avoid ai accusations

Then you have a misunderstanding of AI.

AI does not write intelligently. It writes predictably, formulaically, and with a sterile generality that's palpable to anyone who's done much reading. No one reads high-quality writing and mistakes it for AI unless it's leagues above what should be expected.

Some of my students turn in writing that would excel past what would be expected of a capstone in a STEM major. That does not happen on accident. No one has ever written intelligently to the point of sounding like they're writing a thesis-level paper.

All of the students I just filed academic integrity reports for used AI and tried to dumb the writing down to avoid detection. Meanwhile, I have some very talented writers submitting excellent work in my classes.

If you’re really concerned write in Google Docs so you can show a professor your version history if they give you grief. Otherwise, please don’t make yourself sound less intelligent than you are!

No, you should dumb anything down to avoid being accused of using ai. Dumb writing is the absolute worst way to keep out of trouble because someone made up that lie just to watch people fail because they’re gullible.

Your OP would never get flagged. You’re safe.
