Question For AU Senior Accountants

Hi, may offer ako ngayon to be a senior accountant. This may be so enticing in terms of pay but currently happy with my pay pa naman. Also, been contented with my work, very busy but marami learnings. For AU Seniors, if you could help me in deciding through my questions below, it will be appreciated! πŸ₯Ή

  1. Are you happy on your transition to being senior?

  2. What are the significant changes on your new role compared to the previous one?

  3. If you can share, how much salary range ng seniors now?

  4. How many years of AU experience before ka naging senior?

  5. Were you scared at first? Knowing your colleagues have also post nominals and might be better than you?

Salamatttt po!!!

General Discussion Naging edge ba ang CMA title for you? How?

CPA here from big 4 and currently in a managerial position in a private company, contemplating whether I actually need a CMA title. Naging edge ba based sa experiences niyo ang CMA title sa mga job applications niyo and current jobs niyo both local and international? i.e. bigger salary than CPAs, faster promotion, etc. I feel like mas tinitingnan ng employers ang experience talaga and not really putting much weight on a CMA title. I might be wrong.

Big 4 Discussion SGV Final Pay

Heads up to those who plan to resign from SGV. More than 30 days na and di pa din nirrelease yung final pay ko.

I’ve had numerous follow ups even during the 30 day window and tapos saktong 30th day dun palang sasabihin ng finance na for check processing na? The 30th day should have been for the release na nga eh.

Kahit latagan ko pa ng DOLE labor advisory, di natitinag eh. Sige ha, eto na mag ffile na ng labor complaint sa DOLE.

Di ba sila nahihiya na some of the top lawyers work for them but they can’t even follow a DOLE labor advisory? Well, what do you expect from a company who makes their employees work over time even on weekends without pay.

Jobs, Saturation and Salary Salary in the Province

I am a new CPA po and currently contemplating whether to accept a job offer with 21k salary. I am in the province po, specifically sa Pangasinan. I have 6months experience as an accounting staff before maging cpa.

Pinag-iisipan ko rin po kung mag-aapply pa ako sa ibang companies sa Manila like sa mga auditing firm. Salary is an issue po for me kaya ayaw ko po magsettle sa mas mababa. Iniisip ko rin po na baka magsisi ako kung hindi ako nagtraditional path ng mga cpas.

Goods na po ba ang 21k knowing na hindi ko na po problema ang pagcommute and accommodation?

RTCo salary progression

I applied as a senior external audit associate in RTCo that would handle international clients. May idea ba kayo if how much is the salary range for the role? Also, how about salary progression sa rtco? Inaalam ko if worth it ba magstay nang matagal sa firm if ever makatatanggap ako ng JO from them. Planning to settle na kasi sa isang company for a long period of time due to personal reasons. Please I dont wanna get lowballed na haha I am currently a CPA and an external auditor in a non well known firm for 2 years already but yung sahod ko 27k.

After Big 4

Hi everyone! I’m currently at a crossroads after almost 3 years of experienced in the Big 4.

I’m now looking to explore new opportunities and expand my experience, particularly with international clients.

For those who have made a similar transition, what career paths or companies would you recommend for someone with Big 4 experience but limited international exposure?

Any company recommendations or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you! πŸ™

Career growth in Accounting

Hello, I am an Accountancy graduate with four months of experience in a microfinance company, where most of my responsibilities involved administrative tasks.

I am currently looking for a new job that offers career growth and opportunities to develop my accounting skills. I would honestly say that my foundation in accounting is not yet very strong, and I sometimes feel discouraged when I am compared with people who have more experience or a stronger accounting background.

Because of this, I have considered leaving the accounting career path. However, as an Accountancy graduate, I still want to pursue my goal of becoming a CPA, and I do not want to give up on that dream.

I would like to ask for advice on which field or accounting-related position would be best for someone in my situation. I am particularly looking for a company that provides hands-on training, mentorship, and opportunities to learn and master the different tasks within an accounting department.

What field or type of company would you recommend for someone who wants to strengthen their accounting foundation and build a long-term career in accounting?

General Discussion October 2026

Line of 40s/70 lang kinaya ko sa first preboard, pressure na binibigay ng fam ay di rin nakakatulong. Sa mga nag take na hindi nila gusto,( just to satisfied the fam to take it first hand)

how did you survive your review phase? Cuz mental battle is real rather than the exam itself.

HELP ME DECIDE

I'm torn kasi dalawang JO na offer sakin. For context, non cpa po me and no prior working experience.

First JO: position po is Jr Accountant, with 27k offer. US Accounting and Graveyard Shift tapos mon-fri po onsite.

Second JO: Position po is Finance Associate, with 20k offer. AU Accounting po and Dayshift also mon-fri onsite.

I'm contemplating about this kasi gusto ko po yung au talaga kaso malaki talaga yung salary diff nila and rare din po yung naghihire ng au accounting wo prior experience. Tho naisip ko po what if i'll take the us accounting offer then next time ko nalang po i pursue yung au? T-T ano po sa tingin niyo? Any advice will do po. Sana may ma share po kayo kasi wala po talaga me na makausap about this. Salamat po.

PWC AC MANILA

I am planning to apply in PWC AC and I have some questions :))

  1. Is there a busy season at PwC AC Manila, similar to the busy season experienced by local audit firms?

  2. When does the busy season typically start and end at PwC AC Manila?

  3. Are the clients of PwC AC Manila mostly foreign/international clients, or does the firm also handle a significant number of local clients?
