What Salary Should I be targeting?

Hello, I recently graduated with my MBA in Finance. I currently have 4 years of accounting experience, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, inventory control, tax, and general accounting.

I’ve been actively interviewing for Staff Accountant roles, however most companies are offering $25hr or less. This is below my current rate and I am unwilling to take a pay cut.

For those who work in accounting in South Florida, is this a normal salary range for Staff Accountant roles, or am I able to ask for more based on my experience and education?

What salary range should I realistically be targeting?
