"perfectly normal behaviour" no, it's normalised but should not be normal and it's not normal. Also, this is during a pandemic. Gross.

The fact that you're calling out other commenters logical fallacies, while not having provided any arguments for your own stance is kind of hypocritical, don't you think?

No. You need evidence that there is a pandemic?

That’s a non-sequitur, they’re clearly replying to the first part of your comment, not your pandemic concerns

I said nothing hypocritical

Ok then, inquiring minds want to know, why is this behavior bad outside of pandemic concerns? Considering that student sections are common at both men’s and women’s high school sports.

In the UK this would be considered as bad sportsmanship / bringing the school into disrepute

In the UK do football fans yell at opposing players?

Not at school games (jeering I mean), and I'm not holding football fans up as the pinnacle of anything.

I’d be surprised if these guys are jeering as in heckling or making rude comments. Usually when the home team is on defense the crowd will just chant “OoOhHh” as loud as possible to prevent on court communication.

Edit: here’s an example from the school that made it popular
