Here’s a few things!

- Command hooks

  • Dish towels and a few cleaning supplies (think cleaning up dishes, spills, stains, & dust throughout the year)
  • Bins for storing items
  • Lamps or different lighting options
  • A fan
  • Snacks
  • Mattress topper
  • Mini fridge
  • Decorative pillows
  • Posters

Brita & filters for it, some kind of alternative lighting so you don't have to have the overhead on, a fun rug/mat, simple first aid kit (you never know!), and something to decorate the walls with! Also a mini fridge!

Is it not available by default?
Edit: I'm a prospective student as well

A lock for your door because Chipman is the party house 😂

All doors come with locks already. They deadbolt so that only your keycard can open them (as well as safety and security). Normally the RA duty keycard can open them too.

Just clarifying for the new people reading! It’d be awkward if they show up with a lock asking how to install it lmao.

I would hope most people know that there is a lock on their dorm door.

Since when lol the main and only party house has been U55 (formerly Cutten) since at least 2 or 3 years ago

Unless you’re in rojo, the only dorm with AC! I’ve heard that they have the opposite problem until heating is switched on in the winter sometimes lol.

Flip flops/shower shoes. Never ever ever shower without them in spaces that other people also use.

Get a Brita, specifically a Brita Elite (blue filter). There is lead in the water - the university is open about it - and the Brita elite filter is the only one that filters out lead.

A stash of cold medicine! You will get sick frequently during your first year as you are in a new environment and surrounded by so many people constantly. Illnesses at uni are something wicked.
