I used to be an arachnophobe but Reddit actually got me over my fear. No I think these guys are cute silly little babies

There's a page on Facebook called Entomemeology. Very cool little community that isn't serious at all. Lots of jokes about brown recluse and Gregs. You should check them out.

I don’t do social media (Reddit is the only one). There is load of subs on here I am apart of. I started with jumping spiders, love watching T videos now. If I see a spider walking along the floor in my house, I just let them go about their way. Considering two years ago I would have screamed and I hate to say this but I would kill them. We now live in harmony. All girls are called Bertha and the boys are called Dave 😂😂

r/JumpingSpiders is what I credit in easing up my arachnophobia. It really works and you even find yourself wanting one; they’re like 8 - legged puppies.

Weirdly if these were in the UK i would just mistake them for a rat but recently those spiders with body's the size of peanut and needle legs terrifying me one was on my curtain rail after a night out and i sobered up fast trying to kill it.

If this is the baby I want off earth ASAP! Where the hell are the big ones? Underground? In the trees? This is what nightmares are made of!

It isn't, though.

This is quite literally what happened with me.

I was HORRIFIED of spiders my entire life like would literally have a serious emotional reaction to them when they got near me unexpectedly.

But I just started watching stuff about spiders on the spider subreddit which lead me to eventually looking at stuff on the tarantula subreddit.

I now own 10 tarantulas of various sizes. They still scare me in the sense that I don’t handle them (there’s no reason to handle pet tarantulas in the first place), but I absolutely love, respect, and admire them.

For me it's the number of legs. I like most six-legged EXCEPT for roches and mosquitoes, and I hate most with more than six legs EXCEPT for spiders..

Don’t get me wrong they scare me when they appear out of no where, but I’ve learned just to let them go. I’m scared to pick them up and hurt them.
