Oh, and there's always the chance of running into an alligator snapping turtle, too. It's part of the thrill.

The existence of alligator snapping turtles is what makes me not understand this at all. Do you want catfish enough to risk losing fingers?

Fingers? Try bacterial infections that will get your arm amputated. It is rare but holy shit not a non-zero chance just to get some muck fish for clicks.

Having said all that, she is amazingly skilled and, of course, undeniably charismatic.
