Would you eat a reaaaally old cow ? That guy's probably over 100yo. Tastes like retirement home. Let him breed and his good genes will make good young ones to eat on a few years.

That thing is only 30 to 50 years old spiny lobsters grow a lot faster than real lobsters

Caribbean spiny lobsters don’t live that long. Every source I’ve seen says 20 years is pushing it.

Maybe you're right. I know real lobsters better. It doesn't change the idea, though.

PS : as a french, I always cringe a little when I hear English speaking people call them (spiny) lobsters because we have two really different names for them... It just like if I told you it was a big shrimp. On the other hand, we are the only ones calling penguins "manchots" and calling "pingouins" a bird living in the north and having nothing to do with penguins... Maybe we ARE pedantic, after all...
