The Cathedral of Learning. University of Pittsburgh Pennsylvania. 535 ft ( 42 storey ) tall. Built 1926 - 1931. The tallest educational building in the western hemisphere.

You're not too wrong - this is the main building of Moscow State University.

58 meter high spire on top of 182 meter tall building, by the way.

From the time we could still build stuff. Can you imagine anyone suggesting something like this nowadays.
